Oceanic Grace: A Quick Thanksgiving Reflection

Jesus came so that we may have life abundantly.

On this Thanksgiving, it would be a joy to express my thanks to everyone who has been engaging with our content. I hope you feel blessed.

Happy Thanksgiving!

At this moment, it is right to pause and reflect on what makes us thankful to God, our family, and our friends.

In the Gospels, we see the heartbeat of Jesus’ mission to come in the flesh. Summing up Jesus’ missional purpose, He came to bring life and life abundantly.

The Greek word translated as abundantly in John 10:10 is perissos (περισσός), meaning that which is beyond measure, more than enough, or exceeding the ordinary.

For me, abundance points to oceanic grace. Never-ending grace. A never-ending experience of God’s grace. Lifelong grace. Grace that comes at the right time. Grace without measure. Grace without condemnation. Grace that heals. Grace that revives. Grace that forgives us. Grace that restores us. Grace that takes us out of the pit of hell. Grace that is available at any time.

I am thankful to God for His grace.

What is grace?

In the midst of all the chaos that a person may go through, one must never forget that it is by His grace that we are still alive. All humans have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23).

Because of His grace, God has made a way to redeem us through Christ when we put our faith in Him and follow Him.

I’m thankful for God’s grace!
