The God of Green

I’m not sure for whom this may minister, but I lean on God when I write. The purpose here is to encourage, direct, and lift up our readers, pointing them to the goodness of God. In response, we invite our audience to choose and make a decision to follow Him.

God will be your rear guard. God will take care of you. God will give you intelligence and wisdom. God will give you abundant life. God forgives, restores, and renews. That is our purpose: to lift God high.

We invite our audience to embrace this pattern. It is not simply about being religious or spiritual. We are human beings made in the image of God. We carry God-given breath. God knew when you were supposed to be born, and He knows the days of your life. This is called the foreknowledge of God. God knows all things.

At the same time, here is something amazing: God gives you the ability to choose. He invites you to make a decision to follow Him. God will not force you harshly into His ways. He gently leads through His voice.

One thing I want to encourage you with is this: you do not have to remain trapped in dark pits or hopeless seasons. Even in difficult seasons, God is present. He walks with you, restores you, and leads you into His purpose. That is the God I know.

I know a God who wants to bless you and keep you as the apple of His eye. I know a God who leads His people beside green pastures:

“He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul.” Psalm 23:2–3

He is the God of green,

not a God who abandons us in dark pit holes, but the God who brings hope, restoration, and new life.

You might ask,

“How must I encounter the God of green while walking through the dark and gloomy seasons of life?”

The journey begins with simple steps.

Step 1: Be willing to follow God.
Seek His love—the greatest agape, faithful love already manifested through the cross, where Jesus came to forgive our sins and restore our relationship with God.

Step 2: Begin to interact with God through the small challenges of life.
Invite Him to intervene. You will begin to see His hand at work in your life. His miraculous works are not only ancient stories; they are still active today. You will witness His faithfulness when you acknowledge Him and call upon Him in your despair.

Step 3: Get a Bible.
Choose a Bible such as the ESV, or download the YouVersion Bible app—it is free. Begin by reading the Gospel of Mark and discovering the life and ministry of Jesus.

Step 4: Find a local Spirit-filled church.
Community is part of God’s design. We grow stronger when we walk together in faith.

Step 5: Make friends who follow Jesus.
Build relationships with people who believe in the Triune God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Step 6: Pray and invite Him into your life.
God desires a relationship with you. Talk with Him, seek Him, and trust His guidance.

Step 7: Believe and trust that He is a good God.
The God of green will take care of you, provide for you, strengthen you, heal you, forgive you, and restore you. His provision may come in different ways according to His wisdom, but His love remains constant.

He has loved you and known you since you were in your mother’s womb. The God who created you is the God who sustains you, leads you, and calls you into abundant life.

“I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” John 10:10
