CELEBRATING CHANGED LIVES

Years ago as a young evangelist, I led a student outreach, a crew of rough lads crashed our evening event. The ringleader was a biker who dragged a leg badly damaged from a motorcycle accident.

Perched on a table, he watched us closely. Suddenly, I experienced a stirring from the Holy Spirit and felt a surge of holy boldness. I asked to lay hands on his leg and asked Jesus to heal him.

He hit the floor.

Staring at his leg in absolute shock, he yelled, “How the blankety-blank did that happen?!” Then, he and his crew bolted out the door. We never saw them again.

Our team was baffled. One student asked: “What was the point of healing him if he didn’t stick around to accept Jesus?”

I pointed them to Luke 17:11–19. Ten lepers cried out to Jesus for mercy, and all ten were completely healed by God’s radical kindness. Yet only one — a despised Samaritan outsider — returned to throw himself at Jesus’ feet in heartfelt gratitude.

While that biker may not have surrendered his life that night, he can never deny the reality of Jesus’ mercy and power. This Thanksgiving season, we are invited to make room for gratitude as our daily modus operandi. Like the thankful leper, we are invited to fall at Jesus’ feet in adoration and surrender.

God is moving at The Message Canada!

In this season, our team is deeply thankful for God’s unwavering faithfulness, provision, and displays of power. Our team is growing, and the Lord is opening incredible new doors for gospel opportunity and partnership to fulfill His Luke 19:10 mission.

At least 35 people came to Jesus in the past two weeks!

Through our Creative Mission school weeks, we have witnessed lives changed by the gospel.

Students who heard Daniel Eduardo at Valley Christian School chapels brought their parents to the concert—and a mother and father gave their lives to Christ! René from Young Life shared this encouragement:

“Great night last night! I hope you felt encouraged in your Mission and in what God has accomplished and began to accomplish in the lives of those who attended.”
