Beyond the Pulpit

“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14 ESV

In a few months, 27 nations have engaged with our content. That was never something I planned. I initially thought that if only a few people could come to this website and be blessed by these resources, that would be wonderful. However, if this content is helping people discover God and their valuable identity in Him, then why not?

At some point, an online presence alone is not enough. We are called in Christ to take the Kingdom of God into places where there is a great need for hope.

Being content with only preaching from the Sunday pulpit is not enough. Preachers need to move. Pick a nation. Lead the team under your spiritual authority, wisdom, and passion for the Kingdom of God.

This passion should not come from guilt or a sense of obligation to do something for a nation. It is something the Holy Spirit awakens within us.

Perhaps the idea of retreating too much can sometimes be misleading. We need moments of retreat with God, but we also discover deep joy when we actively participate in His mission.

Right now, I am working through the book of Titus. When Paul engaged in his missionary work in Crete, an island, why would he invest in church planting there? Simply because every place in the world needs the presence and witness of the Church. Through local churches rooted in the gospel, nations can experience redemption, beginning with transformed communities and multiplying as a blessing to others.

We still need more church plants. We still need leaders who are willing to carry the hope of Christ beyond their own borders. The mission of God is not confined to one location, one culture, or one generation.
